"Thanks to Tiffany, I currently have seven agents reading my novel manuscript! Before working with her, I’d queried agents and gotten no response despite having the opening chapter of my book published in a major journal."

- Robert Kerbeck, author of the award-winning book, Malibu Burning

Hello my fellow writer,

You poured your time and your heart into your book and you dream of seeing it on the front tables of bookstores. Only, you need a literary agent first.

If you're like most writers, you know you need a query letter and sample chapters, and that you’ll need to email agents and anxiously wait for them to request a partial or full manuscript. But when it comes down to it, you’re probably not sure how to do any of this successfully.

That’s okay! Why would you?! You’re a writer. Just because you can finish a book (huge congrats on that btw!), doesn’t mean you’re an expert on navigating the publishing industry.

As a developmental editor and writing mentor, there’s nothing I get asked about more than literary agents. Most of my clients – no matter how talented – come to me with a painful amount of uncertainty and anxiety over querying. Oftentimes, they feel defeated from striking out one too many times.

I know the feeling. Not only did I weather a lot of rejection in the beginning, but OMG, I made some cringe-worthy mistakes. I'll tell you all about them in the course so you don't do the same things.

Now I’ve been in publishing for more than fifteen years and have sat on both sides of the proverbial desk – as a writer pitching agents and editors, and as a magazine and lit journal editor receiving queries.

I love helping writers get past their insecurities and develop the skills it takes to land the right agent and become a pro.

"I took Tiffany's web course on how to find the right literary agent as someone new to the book publishing world. I was immediately struck by her professional, thoughtful, relaxed, and encouraging way of approaching the content. Instead of being overwhelmed, I was put at ease and given step-by-step, instructions and examples of the different things to consider when pitching and searching for the right person to represent my book. Bonus - printed materials complement the videos and on-line content so you can take and keep written notes. I highly recommend this very well-organized and thorough course filled with practical tips!"

- Lori Cohen-Sanford

"Tiffany’s step-by-step instructions helped me focus, and I no longer feel like I’m running around blind. I appreciated her background as an author who speaks from experience on both sides of the desk and benefitted greatly from the course. This methodical approach really showed me a systematic way to forge ahead.”

- Ajit S. Dutta

"Before I took Tiffany’s class, my method of querying agents fell somewhere between painfully-researching a select few agents and shot-gunning anyone with “agent” in their title. Then I took her class. It was everything I’d hoped it would be: clear, concise, and encouraging, with real-world suggestions and a detailed plan of how to find and target literary agents. Thank you, Tiffany! Your class gave me confidence and a clear sense of how to approach querying."

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you guarantee I’ll get an agent?
Absolutely not. Traditional publishing is extremely competitive, but I am convinced that if you do the work in this course, you’ll feel far more confident, and you’ll present your book in the strongest possible way to the best possible agents for you.
Do I really need to put in this much effort, or can I just blast a query to all the agents and cross my fingers?
You’ve already poured your time and heart into your book, so why would you start cutting corners now?! Sure, every now and then someone hits the jackpot with a mass-sent query, so it could happen. But please don’t rest your book’s future on chance. By sending a personalized query to the agents who represent books like yours, you’ll dramatically increase your odds.
How is this course different than the free advice on your website?
Good question. I freely share my general strategy and some of my best tips on my blog, but in this course, I show you exactly how to do what I suggest, walking you through the entire process as if I were looking for a new agent. I also give you a wealth of additional advice – like what to do when an agent calls. Believe it or not (after you do a little jig), there’s so much more to do than simply say yes. Trust me because I learned that the hard way. You’ll also get time-saving tools like a series of personalized query openings you can steal and customize, a swipeable script for following-up in two minutes, and a thorough list of the best agents and agencies.

If you don’t find the course helpful, let me know within the first 14 days and I’ll give you a full refund.
